District Legal Services Authority is empowering students and citizens through two different mediums by organizing legal access and seminars as part of the legal literacy awareness campaign.

 Batala 4 Nov  (Gurpreet singh)  District Legal Services Authority Shri Rajinder Agarwal, Secretary Legal Services Authority-cum-Judge Senior Division  under Pan India Campaign for Amrit Maha Utsav in Educational Institutions by District Legal Services Authority .The Legal Literacy Campaign was launched under the leadership of Civil Judge Miss Navdeep Kaur Gill.  Giving information about this Miss Navdeep Kaur Gill Secretary Legal Services Authority and Parminder Singh Saini District Guidance Counselor-cum-Nodal Officer District Legal Services Authority said that under this campaign from 31-10-2022 to 13-11-2022 . In 19 education block   about 2,50,000 students from 6th to 12th studying in 970 schools of district and about 50,000 students of colleges and ITIs will be made aware about legal literacy.  Today, under this campaign, special programs have been  conducted in 118 schools of district education blocks Batala-1, Batala-2 and Dera Baba Nanak Block-1 and Block-2.  In which more than 38000 students were made aware

 । At SD College for Women, Gurdaspur, Judge Miss Navdeep Kaur Gill, Secretary, Legal Services  Authority, was the chief guest, and Parminder Singh Senni, District Guide Counselor and Advocate Palwinder Kaur, were the special guests.  In Government Girls School Dharmapura Colony Batala and in Girls School CAMP Batala Parminder Singh Saini District Guide Counselor participated in the awareness campaign programs as the chief guest.  On this occasion, he provided valuable information to the students about basic rights and legal services under the Legal Literacy Campaign.  On this occasion, Judge Miss Navdeep Kaur Gill said that every citizen of the district will be made aware about legal services and free legal assistance will be provided to every eligible citizen in need of legal assistance.  Needy citizens can contact in this regard in room number 104 of the court complex
